Facilities Our research teams are housed in state-of-the-art facilities in Montreal and Quebec City, specifically at the CRULRG and COPL (affiliated to Laval University, Québec) and at McGill University (Montréal). The future Neurophotonics Center will offer brand new laboratories as well as a clean room.
The CRULRG is affiliated to Laval University and constitutes an innovative teaching and training environment in leading fields of research such as Neurosciences and Genetics. Its mission is to further the knowledge of the causes and treatments of neurological and neuropsychiatric diseases as well as to improve our understanding of the brain and behavior. The CRULRG is already famous around the World for its expertise on schizophrenia, bipolar disorders, major depression, autism, Gilles de la Tourette disease, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, Huntington's chorea, epilepsy, chronic pain, pathological gambling, alcoholism and sleep disorders associated with aging. Experts in Cellular and Systems Neurobiology take part in the Neurophysics group.
Finally, a new state-of-the-art facility called the Neurophotonics Center, which is issued from the Neurophysics alliance, will be soon under construction and will open by the end of the year at the CRULRG. These additional 11,500 sq. ft. will greatly extend our research capabilities and allow for more researchers and students to join the Neurophysics grant. |
