Events Frontiers in Neurophotonics Summer School 2007Bringing Together Advances in Neurobiology, Photonics and Imaging
Frontiers in Neurophotonics, an international summer school on advanced cell imaging techniques, is an opportunity to meet fellow researchers and students from around the world, learn and discuss the latest advances in live cell imaging techniques put in perspective by experimental challenges in the field of neuroscience.
The school will include a mix of tutorials and lectures given by experts in their fields on 1) basic and advanced optical approaches used to study live tissue, 2) topical issues in Neuroscience and 3) modern molecular and genetic approaches available to detect, measure, manipulate and follow molecular events in living cells.
Topics to be covered include:
- Overview of challenges in Neuroscience - Genetic tools for imaging in live cells - Optical approaches for cellular functional imaging - Molecular tracking in live cells - Approaches for improved resolution - Advances in volumetric imaging - Nonlinear optical technologies - Novel spectroscopy for in vivo tissue imaging
Additionally, poster sessions and laboratory demonstrations will allow for dynamic interaction
