Setting New Frontiers in Neuroscience - Inventing the Techniques of the Future

 

Following its expansion plan, the Neurophysics group is currently seekingoutstanding graduate students and post-doctoral fellows for its CIHR Strategic Training Program. Applications are opened to international and domestic citizens from the following educational backgrounds: Physics, Optics and Photonics, Chemistry, Neuroscience, Materials Science or related fields.

 

Current projects include (but are not limited to):

 

- Developing novel fiber-based microprobes for cellular studies

- Light-tissue interactions using nonlinear optics

- Design of novel nanoparticles for molecular tracking in live cells

- Development of novel microscopy systems

APPLICATION PROCESS

 

Applicants must provide the following documents:

 

- Curriculum vitae

- A short letter describing why you decided to apply to the program and your career goals

- Official transcripts of previous colleges or universities attended (to be mailed to the address below)

- Two letters of recommendation (to be mailed directly to the address below)

A panel of professors and representatives of each institution (McGill, COPL and CRULRG) will meet in April following the deadline.  The selected applicants will be contacted and eventually invited to meet the selection committee.
