Faculties Details: Bruce Lennox, PhD
Bruce Lennox earned his PhD in 1985 from the University of Toronto and was a NSERC Post-doctoral Fellow at Imperial College from 1985 to 1987. He is a pioneer in the design of several novel biosensor systems. Research in his laboratory is currently oriented around structure/property relationships of classes of molecules which form interfaces. This leads into molecular design and synthesis (of novel surfactants and lipids), kinetics studies (enzymology), surface chemical techniques (Langmuir films, electrochemistry, scanning probe microscopy), nanostructured materials, spectroscopy (NMR,IR) and polymer chemistry. Dr. Lennox was awarded the Leo Yaffe Teaching Award, McGill, in 1996. He is a member of PENCE (Protein Engineering Networks of Centre of Excellence) and of the scientific board of NanoQuebec, chairing the Nanobiology section and is a member of the advisory board of the NSERC NanoIP. |
