Ongoing research

• Studies of luminescence and Raman enhancement via plasmonic
  coupling with metal nanoparticles
• Development of composite and multilayer reporter nanoparticles (NPs) with improved
  luminescent and Raman properties
• Development of reporter NPs for the optical transduction of electrolytes such as Ca²⁺ and Mg²⁺
• We combine molecular, biochemical and optical approaches to measure protein-protein
  interactions at synapses during synaptic remodeling
• Surface functionalization of reporter NPs as optical probes for functional cellular imaging and biosensing
